I post a questionfor you...while I could argue both sides of this question, I wonder about the nessecity. For the problem of arguing one against the other is that there isn't really a problem in believing both. I believe in a higher being (namely God) and I believe that he created the world (creationism), however, I believe that he created the world with a divine plan (creation story) and that the bible is in some cases literal and some cases allegorical. As such, part of the divine plan is that the big bang would happen, and due to natural inclinations, creatures would diversify (evolutionary theory) and one group would become the highest in that it would be infused with a soul and given truly free will.

I believe in a form of evolution. Thing change over time. Most animal species have changed some over time. Actually, humans haven't changed much at all, but that's because we're humans. The controversy I think is more over creation. Pretty much eveyrone would agree that there's always some form of evolutionm, but some people don't think that God created the world, that it just haopened.
